XXcLusive: Styles P Pens Novel For Random House

Not only is Lox rapper a gangsta and a gentleman but now he will also be adding a published author to his resume. XXLMag.com had the chance to chop it up with the Yonkers rapper about his newest project.

The book, which Styles describes as a “jail mystery,” is the D-Block rapper’s first foray into the literary world. “I got a fiction book called Mr. Invincible coming out Nicki Turner Presents,” Styles revealed to XXL. “It’s just a fiction joint. It’s a little story, I’m just trying to get in another lane and do something creative and you gonna get to see it in a minute."

When asked if he had any help putting the work together Styles replied, “They got a little editing team but all the writing is me, all the idea is me, all the thought is me."

As of press time there is no release date for Mr. Invincible but Nicki Turner Presents/Random House will publish it. Turner is known as “the queen of hip-hop fiction,”with a slew of popular urban novels on the market.

In the meantime Styles is prepping the release of his upcoming D-Block compilation No Security hitting stores on June 9. Pinero tells XXL that he will be following that up with a short tour. “We about to get on the road do a lil promo tour for that,” he said. “Hit up Philly, VA, North Carolina, Connecticut, Boston and the Midwest and West too.”
