Although he’s been noticeably absent from the spotlight for a while, West Coast mainstay The Game is plotting a return to the hip-hop scene and he promises to hit the streets with some brand new material real soon.

In an interview with MTV News the Doctor’s Advocate revealed his plans to deliver a weekly mixtape series in the coming weeks. "This summer, it ain't a nigga that's gonna out-mixtape me," he said. "I'm dropping a mixtape every week. It ain't gonna be like no bullshit mixtape shit. I'm dropping mixtapes that sound better than people's albums."

Chuck Taylor, who is currently working on his new studio album The R.E.D., already has a title for his introductory tape in the series. “The first one is gonna be the Bloody Thumb with the red thumbprint on the front."

The R.E.D., Game’s follow up disc to 2008’s L.A.X., will feature production from Miami hitmakers Cool & Dre. The duo provided the Compton rapper with one of his biggest hits to date, “Hate It Or Love It” from his debut, The Documentary.

As of press time there is no release date for Bloody Thumb or The R.E.D. – Max G
