Fabolous Album Pushed Back

Brooklyn rapper Fabolous has taken to his Twitter account to inform fans that his latest LP, Loso’s Way has been pushed back to next month.

In a message posted just minutes ago, Fab said he just found out about his new release date. “News Flash! We are pushing back Loso’s Way from June 30th to mid July, just got the word! It’s good cuz now the movie can come wit the CD!”

Loso’s Way, Fab’s fifth solo album, features an all-star lineup of guest appearances including Jay-Z, Jeremih, Keri Hilson, The-Dream, Red Café, Ryan Leslie, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, and Marsha Ambrosius. Production duties will be held by The Alchemist, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Sean C & LV, The Runners, Tricky Stewart, DJ Khalil and Jermaine Dupri, among others.

Along with the CD, Fab will also be releasing a 30 minute film, which will be packaged with the disc.

As of press time the exact store date is unknown. – Elan Mancini

    Shock.

    • $ykotic

Naw it should be cool. He doesn’t conflict with July 4 and I guess this little movie can do, something.

But he’s got a GP following anyway.

      • Pierzy

I like dude’s music alot and I think he keeps getting better…I’m just saying I wasn’t surprised that his (or any) album got pushed back. That’s it…

        • irv

be real, keeps getting better how? fab best album was the first..wen he spit like a real artist ..now all he talks about is cars, chicks, ice he sold his hip hop soull for money..not hatin but disappnted

  • Azhar

Not a surprise….it seems like if your cd don’t get pushed back that’s the surprise!!

    • $ykotic

      There you go P!

  • latino heat

did anybody know he had a album coming out anyway? i haven’t even heard a single.

    • Worley

Latino Heat: that’s probably for the best. He’s got one of those tired ass tricking songs out entitled “Put in the Bag,” a clear rip off of Lil’ Rat Man’s “Whateva You Like.” It features that God awful imitation of a singer – The Dream.

    • oskamadison

That’s the legendary Def Jam promotions department for ya!!!

    P, $yk, what up?

Didnt know dude had an album on the way. But I will say I, too am not surprised, he probably isnt either, about the album pushback.

One thing I will note, Fab doesn’t get his credit and that kinda pisses me off. He reminds of Luda in the way that he is consistant with hits, albums, production, little to no involvement in beef, cameo choices and style. However, I think he should jack a play from Luda’s book and start going more for his. Unlike Luda, he’s never had a not-so-hot crew to slow him down and I don’t see why, despite a nice fanbase, he’s not as sucessful as Luda.

Not comparing or anything, but I do think its a good example of two very talented MCs who kinda took different routes… I would actually love to see them do a collab album.

  • latino heat

i feel you on the Luda / Fab comparison. both got lyrics and are consistent for the most part. i think there not recognized for it because neither has had that one classic carer defying album.
i also think DTP is very underrated as a crew. most of them can really spit. Shawnna’s 2nd album was dope, I-20′s album was dope too, imo. Field Mob was always highly slept on, and it’s too bad they broke up before they got there due. overall they are a much better crew then most weed carrier’s that most rappers surround themselves with. Murder Inc for example, none of them could spit.

  • Omunique

Either way I can’t wait for Fab’s new album! I have owned every album that Fab has put out!

  • Federal Ranga

Feel you, LH. I agree, majority of the cats in DTP are dope, especially Field Mob, but what I am talking about the two factors the kinda makes them a not so hot squad… 1. The Leader of a squad being light years beyond the team (i.e.: Wayne & Young Money, Jay & Rocafella, Snoop Dogg & DPG) and 2. Their inability to stay relevant once the rap baton is passed for them to keep it pushing.

    • $ykotic

I feel you Ranga. I can throw Ruff Ryders in that convo. DMX, LOX, Eve, Swizz, then Drag-On. Once X boogied Voltron lost it’s head.

  • latino heat

i feel you on that. i don’t know why some of these dudes can’t capitalize once the torch is passed. Kurupt was always way ahead of Snoop as far as lyrics go. and Beanie should have been that next dude. i guess that’s what people are talking about when they talk about that “it” factor that some have and others don’t.

  • Fireforreal

I hope DefJam doesn’t waite until july than push it back to september, then november because that shit happens all the time. LL was there latest artist to have a 6 release dates then when he dropped the buzz died down like crazy,he had low first week sales then they gave up on the project. Same thing happened to nelly. He had 4 singles before dropping and by that time no one cared. I know Fab has a buzz but he’s not exempt from losing his buzz like many cats before him then thay blaime the lable when the album flops.

  • allhiphop>xxlmag

i know why Kanye West is the best rapper out now
2 of his albums were pushed up, not back
Losos Way should be hot though especially the Jay and Wayne features

Dang I didn’t even know this was coming out, let alone a 30 minute flick to come with it! He is nice with the flow and lyrics though so I may have to cop…last album I bought from him was Real Talk and I thought that was good.

  • Vicious Seiger

I hate when labels pack in bonus DVD’s like they are doing you a favor when all you want is the damn CD. How about you pack in some extra songs on that extra disc instead. And so far from what I heard I am definitely going to have to sample this album before I purchase it, those last couple of singles for this release have been anything but great.

  • gkid12345

Wow this is a bit of copycat move from Before I self Destruct including an extra dvd in the package

  • Pingback: Father/Son Duo The Parks Release Debut Album | countryfannetwork.com

  • latino heat

does anybody actually watch these bonus dvd’s? i used to rush to the store the day the album dropped to make sure i got the “limited bonus edition”. then i realized i never even watch them. i have a cd book filled with about 50 of these bonus dvd’s and have watched maybe half of them. they are a waste of time and extra money.
as far as the idea of adding extra songs instead of the dvd, the last thing any album needs is more throw away filler tracks.

  • yoprince

    7 R&B features… interesting

You don’t have to wait until July. My boyfriend is colione, one of the guys in justice league and he steels the album from the studio and then we sell them in lakeland fl. Check me out
