Cam’ron Teams Up With Hot 97 For Album Release Concert

In anticipation of his highly anticipated comeback album, Crime Pays, Cam’ron will be hitting the stage in conjunction Hot 97 at New York City’s Highline Ballroom on May 4.

Fans last saw Cam in concert in his hometown at Harlem’s legendary Apollo Theater when Jadakiss brought him out at his own show. The Yonkers MC, whose album The Last Kiss hits stores on Tuesday (April 7) could very well be one of the surprise performers to join Killa and host Funkmaster Flex onstage.

Hot 97 is currently giving out passwords for exclusive presale tickets on their website.

Crime Pays, Cam’s first album since 2006’s Killa Season, arrives in stores a week after the show on May 12. – Devin Chanda

    From the singles I’ve seen on Youtube (Including the preamble to “…Ohio”) I’m hoping this album is a storytelling piece (former crim loses job, falls back into crime…). And I hope I don’t have to import it to Aus. Took months for “The Recession” to officially drop, but I picked it up at an import store.

I guess it’s because NY is in a slump and only promotes artist that have untalented Crews attached to give the artist a “Boss” or gang image. But we know Cam isn’t special. I’d rather go see Nas even if he is older, Jay-Z, Red Cafe, Joell Ortiz, AZ, Most of the Unit, and the list goes on and on, Jada, Styles, etc…

    Yeah whatever hoe, NY is still better than your best rapper, we invented this shit and set high standards, even our worst MC’s are better than your best , tell me I’m wrong ? and sales and numbers mean nothing dick rider, any real man knows that. Our worst MC’s are similar to any other states best MC’s but if your from NY you get put in a separate category because everyone compares you too Biggie, JZ, Big Pun , Big L, Em and Nas ect.. all the lyrical monsters.
