Ends up Kanye West didn’t just link up with Oscar nominated director Spike Jonze for his new music video, but for an actual short film.

News hit the net last week that the duo, who first worked together on Ye’s controversial “Flashing Lights” clip, have paired up once again to shoot a clip for the Lil Wayne-assisted track “See You In My Nightmares,” but MTV News has learned otherwise.

"They've teamed up again, but this time, it's for a short film," Jonze's producing partner, Vincent Landay told MTV.  "It's not necessarily [a video for 'Nightmares'], but the song is featured in it. We're still editing it right now, it's probably going to run between 10-15 minutes."

While Landay wouldn’t give any details on the story line for the project he said it was already shot in Los Angeles earlier this year. “I don't know when or where it will debut,” he added. “We did it for fun, so maybe it would be good if someone would give us an actual deadline for it."

Jonze is currently gearing up for the release of Where the Wild Things Are, his highly anticipated adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s children’s classic. The fantasy film is scheduled to hit theaters on October 16, 2009.

In related news, Ye recently announced that he will be embarking on a European tour to perform material from his platinum selling 808s and Heartbreaks album. The Associated Press reports that he will heading overseas in July and expects to start his North American leg in the fall. – Elan Mancini
