Andre 3000’s Emmy-award winning animated series, Class of 3000, has made it’s way from the TV screen to a stage in the rapper’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
The series, which ran on the Cartoon Network since 2006, is based on an international superstar musician named Sunny Bridges – voiced by Three Stacks – who takes a break from his celebrity life to teach a middle school class how to channel their creativity.
Now the show has become an hour-long play. Featuring original songs by Dre and involving many of Atlanta’s cultural leaders, the musical will be running until March 29th at Atanta’s Alliance Theater.
