Andre 3000’s Cartoon Comes To Life On Stage

Andre 3000’s Emmy-award winning animated series, Class of 3000, has made it’s way from the TV screen to a stage in the rapper’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

The series, which ran on the Cartoon Network since 2006, is based on an international superstar musician named Sunny Bridges – voiced by Three Stacks – who takes a break from his celebrity life to teach a middle school class how to channel their creativity.

Now the show has become an hour-long play. Featuring original songs by Dre and involving many of Atlanta’s cultural leaders, the musical will be running until March 29th at Atanta’s Alliance Theater. For more info on show times and to purchase tickets peep the theatre’s website here. – Evanka Williamson
