The Roots To Play 3 Month Residency In NY

Just as The Roots will begin their gig as house band for Jimmy Fallon when he takes over “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” on NBC, the band will be playing a residency at the Highline Ballroom in New York City, beginning on March 5.

“The Roots Presents: The Jam” will run through the end of June, covering a total of 12 shows, as confirmed thus far by Pitchfork Media. The stint will be the group’s last live shows for the foreseeable future as a result of their decision to retire from touring in the wake of their new TV duties.

?uestlove will also host a weekly DJ night, entitled “the FANtastic,” every Thursday at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC, starting March 26 and lasting 10 weeks.

The drummer also revealed the title of the band’s next album will be How I Got Over through his Twitter account, qoolquest.- Devin Chanda

Man I wish I could go to one of their shows; I’m a big fan of their work. Just the vide they got is crazy…hope to see them here sometime in Cali

And Questlove is just an all around beast and Black Thought as well. I’m glad they keeping it real while still out there making money…unlike most of the artists thats out today.

The only thing I would let the Roots play with for 3 months is a Rattle Snake

Hey hate hate and more hate, don’t forget to include your mom in that equation. She likes the roots and rattle snakes.
