T-Pain Nixes Guyana Concert After Receiving Death Threats

Hip-Hop Hook man T-Pain canceled a scheduled concert in Guyana today (Feb. 23) after receiving threats on his life.

The Associated Press reports that the Tallahassee, FL. singer was harassed with death and kidnapping threats through both his email account and phone which caused him to call off his performance for today’s Carnival event. The promoter for the show, Kerwin Bollers said the messages were credible.

While authorities said they would investigate, the caller has yet to be identified.

T-Pain will be back on the road next month to finish up Lil Wayne’s I Am Music tour according to MTV. Starting on March 17th at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, R.I., Pain will be reuniting with Weezy, Gym Class Heroes, Keri Hilson and Gorilla Zoe for nine dates throughout the country. – Elan Mancini
