During the NBA All-Star Weekend So So Def founder Jermaine Dupri won $50,000 at the "T-Mobile myFaves Shot of a Lifetime" charity contest in Phoenix.

JD was one of five people who were given the opportunity to win $10 grand with every basketball shot they land. Dupri landed all 5 baskets, scoring $50K for the Atlanta Boys and Girls Club.

"I've learned a lot as a young man coming up in the ranks of the music business and saw many examples of what celebrity really means - using your blessings to bless somebody else,” JD said in a statement. "Not for fanfare or fame, but to be able to hopefully help someone else in need. I'm so glad to be able to use my on-the-court skills to support the Boys & Girls Club of Atlanta."

Dupri recently lost his position as president of urban music at Island Records.  As XXLmag.com previously reported he will be taking his So So Def label to Sony. - Elan Mancini
