Multi-platinum selling group Black Eyed Peas recently suffered a tragic loss.

According to the Associated Press, group member's 21-year-old half-brother, Deala,, was murdered in Angeles City in his native Philippines on Tuesday (Feb. 3). He was reportedly eating in a car with his girlfriend when two unidentified men shot him in the head. Deala passed away on his way to the hospital.

Police have no motive as to why the crime occurred and the two men, who escaped on foot after the crime, have yet to be apprehended.

On a more positive note the Peas announced to Billboard that they are scheduled to release a new album this coming March. Titled The End group leader says the name is short for "The Energy Never Dies.” – Shariff Duncan
