Pharrell Scores Film Project W/ “8 Mile” Producer

Variety is reporting that 8 Mile Producer Brian Grazer has tapped Neptunes super producer/rapper/singer Pharrell Williams to score and compose the soundtrack to his new movie, Zoom.

According to the entertainment trade newspaper, the flick seems very similar to Pharrell’s life story. Zoom is about a West Virginia teen who after attending a music academy finds his place in the world.

The movie, which will be released by Univeral Pictures and Imagine Entertainment, will be written and directed by Preston Whitmore (This Christmas). –Elan Mancini
