Kanye West Locks Down Spot On “SNL”

Kanye is set to be the musical guest on tomorrow’s episode of “Saturday Night Live.”

Hosted by TV star, Hugh Laurie of the hit show “House,” Kanye will be making his third appearance on the program where he will perform the first two singles off 808s & Heartbreak - “Love Lockdown” and “Heartless.” The show will air on NBC this Saturday at 11:30 p.m. EST

As XXLmag.com reported on Wednesday (12/10), Ye’s latest album has officially gone gold after its second week on the Nielsen SoundScan, selling over 593,000 units. 808s & Heartbreak debuted in the top slot during its first week on the Billboard 200.

In related news, the Chi-Town rep showed up as surprise guest at label mate Common’s NBC “Locals Only” secret show yesterday [watch below]. Com was promoting his 8th solo album, Universal Mind Control, which dropped on Tuesday. – Jesse Gissen
