The Wu-Tang Clan have been added to the bill of the 2008 BET Hip-Hop Awards it was announced today.

The New York collective are slated to appear on the broadcast for their first public appearance as a group since members of the rap outfit verbally jousted over the direction of their last LP, 8 Diagrams.

In addition to a reunited Wu, the telecast will also feature a tribute to "Iconic Woman In Hip-Hop." No names have been given as of press time for the female tribute.

Jadakiss will serve as the house MC, announcing the festivities as they take place. And DJ Drama will be the resident spin doctor.

The 2008 BET Hip-Hop Awards take place in Atlanta, Georgia and will be hosted by Katt Williams. The program airs Thursday, October 23 at 8PM on BET. Other guests include Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Common, Ludacris and T-Pain.---Anthony Thomas
