Russell Simmons hosted a Globalgrind.com presidential debate viewing party on Wednesday, October 15 at Taj in New York that attracted guest such as Ludacris, Stephon Marbury, Naughty by Nature, and Day 26.

Simmons has been a part of the "Count Down To Change" initiative and has been outspoken in his support for U.S. Senator Barack Obama. The hip-hop mogul resigned from his post of the bi-partisan Hip-Hop Action Summit Network when he endorsed Obama. Simmons also partnered with DJ Green Lantern to put together a mixtape honoring the Democratic Presidential hopeful titled "Yes We Can."

Ludacris has also been outspoken in his support for Obama. But after causing a stir with a scathing freestyle where the rapper verbally attacked Senators John McCain and Hillary Clinton, he's kept a lower profile when it comes to discussing politics. In the November issue of XXL, Luda refused to discuss the aftermath of his track and only offered that he supports Obama.---Anthony Thomas
