The Game, Ludacris, and Slick Rick To Headline “Takever III”

The Game, Ludacris, Slick Rick and others have been tapped to perform at the Kiss 97 “Takeover III” concert in New Mexico this weekend.

The rappers will be joined by Paul Wall, Lil Flip, David Banner and producers Play-N-Skillz.

Also on the bill, the Sugar Hill Gang, Frankie J, Baby Bash, and Rob G.

The concert is the third in a series for 97.3 FM. Produced by Fusion Promotions, which is headed by former Kiss jock Julio G and Damian Barth, the year’s event is set to be the biggest hip-hop event in New Mexico’s history.

“When I was younger, I remember many of the tours that I wanted to see never came through New Mexico,” Barth said in a statement. “Now we have the chance to create of the of the biggest events [that are] normally only seen in cities like New York and Los Angeles…”

“We’re excited to be bringing a lil piece of hip-hop to New Mexico,” Julio G added.

The “Takeover III” concert takes place September 21 at the Journal Pavilion.—LaTisha Robbins
