Lil Scrappy Free After Weekend Arrest, Details Emerge
Lil Scrappy has been released from jail following a weekend scuffle he got involved in with his sister's boyfriend.
According to the Associated Press, Scrappy and the unidentified man got into a confrontation after the couple engaged in an argument.
The American rapper was stabbed during the altercation and taken to jail. His injuries were not life-threatening, a police spokesman clarified.
Authorities, however, did charge Scrappy with felony marijuana possession and use of a weapon during a crime. He was also charged with a misdemeanor obstruction of police officers and battery.
The boyfriend was not charged in the incident.
Scrappy was released from a Georgia prison on a $1,500 bond. He was free since Sunday.---Wesley Hodsons.
