LL Cool J is set to release his first-ever mixtape, The Return of the G.O.A.T., put together exclusively by DJ Kay Slay. "A lot of people are under the misconception that LL is making those grown-and-sexy records, that he ain't with the street vibe anymore," Slay told MTV News' Mixtape Monday. "I think he wanted to step back and let people know he's still the G.O.A.T." The mixtape is scheduled to feature collaborations with Busta Rhymes and will set up LL Cool J's next album, Exit 13, which may be his last project for Def Jam. The legendary rapper will be free from his recording contract after the album drops.

A party ain't a party when it comes to Queen Pen and her ex-boyfriend. According to the New York Post, the father of the female rapper's children is wanted by police. Kendall Wicker, 29, allegedly threatened to kill Queen Pen after he trashed her Brooklyn apartment and tossed a brick through the window of her car. The attack occurred after the two had an argument. Three months ago, the rapper told police Wicker, the father of two of Queen Pen's five children, punched her in the face during a disputed that resulted in her having to undergo oral surgery to brace teeth that her knocked loose from the blow.

Rapping may be DMX's main talent, but impersonations are running a close second. The Yonkers rap star stiffed an Arizona hospital bill after he told staff his name was Troy Jones. According to the Arizona Republic, X checked into a Phoenix Mayo Clinic for pneumonia, complaining of shortness of breath and chest pains. In 2004 DMX impersonated an FBI officer when he was confronted by police after attempting to steal a car. Documents obtained by the newspaper reveal DMX was released eight hours after he entered the medical facility and was overheard telling another patient "Someone in the projects is going to get the bill," apparently in reference to his misleading medics with the wrong name. The troubled rapper was recently arrested twice in Arizona and last week X was arraigned on drug and animal cruelty charges. He's expected to release a new album later this year. -XXL staff
