Kanye West took to the stage last night at Guastavino's in Manhattan last night to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Casio's G-Shock watch. Spike Lee was one of many in attendance that saw the dapper rapper perform a number of his hits, including "I Wonder" and "Can't Tell Me Nothing." West's brief show came one night after his performance at Madison Square Garden. The New York Daily News reviewed West's much ballyhooed "Glow In The Dark" tour and was harsh on the Def Jam star. The Neptune's Pharrell Williams introduced his latest proteges, Chester French, at a showcase in New York on Tuesday night. The group, a couple of Harvard grads, performed a ten-song set at the Cutting Room. The group, duo D.A. Wallach and Maxwell Drummey, were signed to William's Star Trak label after Kanye West and Jermaine Dupri expressed interest in signing the pop act. Chad Hugo, Ryan Leslie, Hot 97's Miss Info and Latina Editor-in-Chief Mimi Valdes were among those in attendance...

Twista and his group, Speedknot Mobstaz, are set to hit the road as a part of the Rock The Vote tour. The Chicago veterans will embark on the twenty-plus date bill as they also prep for the release of their latest album, Mobstability II: Nation Biznezz. The album will hit stores May 27 via Twista's Get Money Gang imprint with Koch Records.-XXL staff
