MC Breed Arrested for Failure to Pay Child Support

Flint, Mi. rapper MC Breed was picked up by authorities in his hometown on Thursday afternoon (April 3) for failure to pay child support. Breed, who is perhaps best known for his track “Ain’t No Future In Yo’ Frontin,’” enjoyed moderate success during the early and mid ‘90’s. Since his debut in 1991, he has amassed an extensive catalog and counts renowned MC’s such as Too $hort, Tupac and Scarface amongst his collaborators. According to The Flint Journal, Breed was picked up on a warrant at around 4:00 p.m. on Thursday by Genesee County Sheriff’s deputies as him and a film crew left the Music Planet record store on Carpenter Rd. Police knew where to find the rapper, who now lives in Atlanta, after he mentioned that he would be signing autographs at Music Planet during a previous interview with The Flint Journal. Authorities say Breed owes $220,000 in back child support. Because of the arrest, Breed missed a 7:00 p.m. show at the Perani Arena with headliner Lil Wayne. The arrest is not the first of its kind for Breed. The MC previously served eight months in prison on a parole violation related to a separate child support case.

    Have u guys ever wondered why people go to jail for lack of paying child support, it’s a system that u are designed to fail at, It is beurocratic nonesense at it’s finest. Albeit there are some dead beat deads don’t get me wrong. Ok I’m MC Breed or Sean Levert who just died in prison for not paying( who exactly is that benifitting now )

    At one point in time it was percieved that I made a lot of money, FOTC looks at your gross income. Well an artist might gross 300K guess what Baby Momma and “baby” get 30% off the top but he actaully only make 30-50K net. So she may get 90k. That’s more than he actually makes a year. Now let’s fast forward 10 years and I’m no longer relavant as an artist. Do u think FOTC says oh let’s lower your child support? Hell no they could give a damn. U gotta jump through mad hoops to get that sh!t lowered and guess what arrears are addind up(That means back payments which every year they go un paid u get hit wit the yearly late charge something like 20 to 30% extra) cuz u don’t have the money, They may only lower it 5 percent at a time. LOL So yeah u owe 220k and u make less than the cat at Burger king. So now they wanna put yo ass in jail cuz u didn’t pay fast enough. If a man is forced to pay child support then the wpmen should be forced to show reciepts. But that doesn’t happen. LOL That would be too close to fair.
