VH1 Helps Flavor Flav Find A Beat

Flavor Flav and cable network VH1, which airs his Flavor of Love reality series, are teaming up to find an aspiring producer to help create his new single. The competition, called “VH1′s The Track with Flavor Flav,” launches today (February 20) on flavorffloveworld.com. To enter, participants must submit an original audio composition without vocals between now and March 13. At that point, Flav will select three finalists who will go up against each other in an online poll. The winner will then work with the Public Enemy hypeman to record and produce his new single. All contestants must be 18 years or older and live within the continental U.S. A grand prize winner will be announced on April 1. Visit flavorffloveworld.com for more information.

    Yeah maybe some people ar unsure of there work or some may feel all opportunities are not good one’s.I mean you may have a check from it but if the song is wack on flav’s behalf you’ll be known for the wrong reasons and be black balled by the industry.Sometimes you may have to waite for a better chance to shine then just anyone.Look at 50 cent with his situation he was dropped by columbia and thought his chance was over,then hooked up with em and dre a year later and it was better situation from him.

    Fireforreal, good points made, as I thought about them also. I think as an emcee, you would be completely correct, but as a producer, the only people that are going to say a song sucks are casual listeners, and they would never know the difference if you happened to produce a hit for a different artist later. Otherwise, if industry professionals hear the song and say it sucks, you can bet they listen to all aspects of the song, so if the emcee is trash, but the beat was crafted with skill, that producer still has great chance in the industry.
