Video game manufacturer Midway has enlisted the help of legendary MC Chuck D and producer Just Blaze for their newest basketball game, NBA Ballers: Chosen One. The Public Enemy frontman will lend his voice to the game as the announcer and studio host, providing play-by-play commentary throughout. Just Blaze—a well known video game enthusiast—is handling the game’s score, which will interact with game play much like the soundtrack to a film does. “The talents of Chuck D and Just Blaze will greatly enhance the NBA Ballers: Chosen One experience, as players live the fantasy lifestyle of an NBA superstar,” explained George Gomez, Midway’s executive producer. “Chuck D is one of the most recognizable voices in music history, while Just Blaze has produced multiple chart-topping hits. Together they’ll ensure that NBA Ballers: Chosen One will feature a sound to match the game’s amazing graphics and gameplay.” NBA Ballers is scheduled to ship for the XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 game consoles this spring.
