The much anticipated Hot Boys reunion scheduled for this past Sunday in New Orleans was canceled after three people were shot outside of the club that was hosting the event. According to MTV News, two 24-year-old women and a 26-year-old man were struck by bullets as they stood in front of Club Dream on Decatur Avenue. The victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, but the club was shuttered and the event was cancelled. The reunion would have marked the first time in years that Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G. and Mannie Fresh had appeared onstage together since the group’s split. Turk, the other original member, is currently incarcerated on an attempted murder conviction. None of the artists had arrived at the club when the shooting took place. MTV spoke to Weezy shortly after the shooting and the MC was reportedly optimistic that the reunion will still happen at a later date.
