Bubba Sparxxx Inks Label Deal with KOCH Records

Koch Records today (February 11) announced a new deal with Georgia based MC Bubba Sparxxx and his label New South Entertainment. Under the deal, Sparxxx will release his as-yet untitled fourth studio album under the label later this year. After dropping two albums on Timbaland’s now defunct Beat Club imprint, Bubba linked with the Big Boi’s Purple Ribbon for his last release The Charm. The first single, “Ms. New Booty,” enjoyed moderate commercial success but the album failed to catch on with a wider audience. Now the rapper is preparing to release a new mixtape in 2008 and introduce some of his own artists through New South Entertainment. “Bubba Sparxxx is the rapper’s rapper,” said KOCH Records general manager Alan Grunblatt in a statement. “He continually surprises his fans with his diversity and comes out with hit after hit. We’re thrilled to be working with him.” Bubba’s Koch debut is scheduled to hit stores this summer.

      nah his second album was really good because he did some real music. his first one was okay and the third i never heard it. i consider this move might be good he might make another deliverance thats the title of his second album.

    I gotta admit he’s a little corny, but he put out Deliverance which was a pretty solid album. Hasn’t done much great stuff outside of that. The first album was kind of tight too.

    Man people hate but dude is pretty nice. I got all three of his albums and they have all been pretty good. Deliverance was a classic album. Thats the last one he did with Timbo. If you haven’t heard it, go get it and really listen to it. Dude up top is right, Bubba is better than half the rappers out today. People just overlook him because he is white and they think he wanna be Eminem.

      the funny thing is that Em and Bubba came out at the same time, label wise, but bubba was performin around Athens long before Em got found. Same with HAYSTAK! Both haystak and Bubba are better than Em. They just don’t talk about stuffin their baby momma in a trunk and shit.

    Bubba Sparxxx is a true hip hop pioneer he made his own style and didnt bite ANYONE.. He blew up with Timbo but Timbos label situation got fucked up and he had to go to his own shit, and thats when Big Boi picked him up and he had a few bangers on The Charm but ill admit it he half assed it it was nowhere near Dark Days Bright Nights or Deliverance(his best album), but the thing is him and Big Boi each got 7 figures off that album, I LOVE to hear people talk shit about Bubba what is it cuz hes white and from the country? But still spits more raw and about more real shit than 80% of emcees in this game, even Eminem gave him his props and showed him love and said he respects how he came outta left field with his own style.
