Unreleased Jay-Z Song Leaks, Fuels Blueprint 3 Rumors

On Wednesday night (January 30) a previously unheard, Timbaland produced Jay-Z song called “Ain’t I” leaked onto the internet and immediately fueled rumors that the former Def Jam president was preparing a third installment in his Blueprint series of albums. The leaked version of the track includes vocal drops from DJ Clue in which he announces that it is “off that Blueprint 3.” The song appears on Clue’s new mixtape, Desert Storm Radio 8: I Am Legend. But when MTV News reached out to a rep for Jay, they were informed that the track is actually old but never made it onto an album. The rep went on to say that Jay has not indicated that he would be releasing any new album in the near future. Nonetheless, some of the lyrical content of “Ain’t I” seems related to recent disparaging remarks made by former Roc-A-Fella artists such as Peedi Peedi and Beanie Sigel. Over a signature Timbo beat Hov raps, “I took a pay cut to become a exec/So the next motherfucker can earn his pay check/And even though these niggas talk greasy ‘bout me/Ask these niggas how they gonna eat without me.”

    I hope this some tru shit. Because I think tha original Blueprint is Hov best work to date. N I feel dat Gift & Tha Curse is his most incomplete work. If this is tha truth he needs to let Kanye, Timbaland, Just Blaze, and DJ Toomp handle tha boardwork but let Kanye handle tha bulk of tha production. That would be a classic album.     BP3, if done right, would be fire…and it be good to see Just and Kanye get back to basics with it since their best work is off BP1(lets get the soul samples back). And Timbo beat was tight, the worst beat title goes to Jigga My Nigga by Trackmasters(Poke and Tone) terrible song…Hola Hovito was an original Timbo beat that was fire and Hova kills it. You dont know hip-hop if you think Timbos trash, dude given Jigga his best songs (other than them misses on BP3)
