Prodigy to Perform Entire H.N.I.C. 2 Album at Sendoff Concert

On February 6 at the B.B. King Blues Club in New York, there will be a special sendoff concert for Mobb Deep’s Prodigy prior to the start of his impending prison sentence. At the show, P will perform his new album H.N.I.C. 2—which is due out in March—in its entirety. While few details are available, a short press release announcing the concert revealed that there would be a tribute to P by unnamed G-Unit and Queensbridge artists as well as special surprise guests. Tickets are $20 and are currently available through Ticketmaster or www.bbkingblues.com. H.N.I.C 2 will be released through Voxonic Music who will utilize their proprietary software to translate the album into 1400 different languages. In October, P accepted a plea deal on a weapons possession charge and was sentenced to 3 ½ years. He was scheduled to begin his sentence earlier this month, but a judge gave him a five week extension.

    I don’t know man, I been rockin with Mobb Deep for years. Shit just keep gettin worse and worse. Everytime I hear about a new Prodigy project, they always say “soundin like the old Prodigy”. I get all hyped to hear the shit cause, for a while there, like The Infamous, Hell on Earth, Murda Muzik era … P could spit. Ain’t nobody kill the Quiet Storm beat like P and mad mufuckas tried. But then I grab the new Mobb or the new P joint and the shit is ass. Make matters worse I knew Havoc’s joint was gonna be on point, especially with beats…it could easily be one of the wackest albums I heard in my life. It had like 20 joints on it and 1 was good, not hot, GOOD.

    Okay, okay, my bad I’m ramblin…I’m just sayin I fucks with the Mobb heavy, but it might be a good time to just hang it up.
