Tonight, the IFC cable network will debut an episode of its new documentary series Framed with rapper Nelly and Denver Nuggets guard Allen Iverson. On Framed, which is sponsored by Reebok, celebrities create short documentary style films about athletes. For Nelly’s episode, he spent two days in Atlanta, where Iverson spends the offseason, and challenged the basketball phenom to a round of the card game Spades. “It was cool” Iverson recently told the Philadelphia Inquirer in an e-mail interview. “We already had a competitive relationship and he wanted to bring that aspect out in the film, so it was very natural. He also hates scripts as much as me, so making it unscripted was good for both of us and made it real. He had to convince me that a short film around playing spades would work and he was right.” Framed with Nelly and allen Iverson airs tonight (January 4) at 10:30 on the IFC.
