Lil Wayne Arrested in Arizona on Drug Charges

Lil Wayne was reportedly arrested near Yuma, AZ last night on various drug related charges. According to website TMZ.com, the rapper was picked up and charged with three felony counts of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. Local law enforcement sources told TMZ that the Drug Enforcement Agency, the federal agency tasked with handling high profile drug cases, was involved. The nature of the DEA’s involvement is not yet clear. As of this morning Weezy was being held at the Yuma County Sheriff's Department, where he was scheduled to be arraigned at 9:00 a.m. PT.
