The LOX Reunite for New York City Show

Yonkers based trio The LOX, which consists of Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch, are set to reunite for a special performance at the BB Kings Blues Club in New York City. The show, which according to a statement from the group’s representative will be their “first performance in over five years in NYC,” will serve to support Styles P’s new album Super Gangster, Extraordinary Gangster. The rare performance is also expected to generate buzz for the upcoming LOX group LP which is slated for release in mid-2008. The show takes place at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27 at the BB King Blues Club on 42nd Street in Manhattan. Tickets are $26 if purchased in advance and $30 on the night of the show.

    I’m not a New Yorker but on December 27 I sure wish I was cause I need the LOX in my life and the world of this so called rap music does too. With individual fame seemingly more important than making good music anymore, the LOX need to be heavy in the mainstream right now to show these young bucks what making good music is all about.

    Why is this News? The Lox never parted ways and usually can be found on each other’s solo albums. The Way the head line read you would think N.W.A. was finally going to reunite for an album or EPMD was back in the studio or for a far less thrilling blip the Hot Boy$ were reuniting. Either way I hope the Lox don’t drop a dud in 2008 and deliver an album up to their potential.

    I was at the Zune show… they killed it.. Styles looked mad bent and Sheek couldn’t keep cursing (all the acts seemed to be censoring themselves for no reason)..

    It was dope. And free. Confining the alcohol to a tent/roped in area = conflict of interest.
