Plies’ Manager Arrested with 80 Pounds of Cocaine

A manager for Fort Meyers, Fl. Based rapper Plies was arrested on Tuesday with over 80 pounds of cocaine in his possession. David Lee Gay Jr., who works for Isabomb Entertainment, stands accused of receiving and selling cocaine in amounts ranging from half of a kilogram to a kilogram six times during the time period from September 21 through November 12. According to the Tampa Tribune, Gay paid $6000 to Eleazar Gutierrez-Castillo, now his co-defendant in the case, for a kilo of cocaine, and was supposed to pay an additional $8000 later to “consummate the deal.” A police affidavit states that intercepted phone calls and testimony from Gutierrez-Castillo will be used to prove the prosecution’s case. Gutierrez-Castillo was arrested on trafficking charges on Tuesday evening and agreed to cooperate with authorities to snag Gay. When Gay met Gutierrez-Castillo at his home later that night, he grew nervous when he thought he spotted law enforcement officers. Police later searched Gay’s home and found a 9mm Taurus handgun, 10 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and almost $8,000 in cash. Gay faces a slew of charges including possession of cocaine, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, armed trafficking, racketeering and several conspiracy charges.
