Miami rapper Pitbull was booked in a Miami detention center this morning (Dec. 21) at 6:51 a.m. on charges of Driving Under the Influence, according to the Miami-Dade Corrections website. The 26-year-old Cuban-American MC, whose real name is Armando Perez, is being held at the County of Miami-Dade Pretrial Detention Center on $1,000 bond.

According to a police report obtained by celebrity gossip site TMZ, Pitbull was stopped after he drove by a police cruiser in his silver Mercedes doing 93 mph in a 55 mph zone. When he got out of the car, the officer claims that his speech was slurred and his eyes were bloodshot. The officer also "could detect a strong breath odor of alcohol over the gum he was chewing." After failing several sobriety tests, Pitbull told the officer "This is a big waste of time your time papo." He was arrested at 3:14 a.m.

Pitbull's third studio album The Boatlift was released on November 27, debuting at #50 on the Billboard chart.
