Jadakiss Officially Inks Solo Deal With Roc-A-Fella Records

It’s official, Yonkers MC and member of the LOX Jadakiss has inked a new joint solo deal with Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records and Ruff Ryders. Although rumors of a move to Def Jam by Kiss have circulated for some time now, Jay-Z confirmed the deal during a recent show at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom. Kiss’s next album will be a joint venture between Roc-A-Fella and Ruff Ryders and is due out in 2008. The as yet untitled project will be Kiss’ third solo LP, after 2001’s Kiss The Game Goodbye and 2004’s Kiss of Death. Jay-Z and Kiss’s partner Sheek Louch have also confirmed that a deal to bring The LOX to Def Jam is also in the works, and should be complete in the near future.

New York could really bring it back (Nas & Jay was the opening act). I wish he would have signed them as a group two not single out Sheek & Styles. A great movement.

    running the game right now. New York ran rap for years, West Coast had they time too. But the west coast dont ever complain about the south, just the New York dudes. Jadakiss going to Def Jam is not going to shift the power to New York. If I was from New York I would rally behind Jay Z because he the only one thats going to sell besides 50. Hip Ho sales are down and is going to stay down. People are going to have to realize there are other ways to make money. Master P Jay Z and Puffy make more money off other things than rap.

    Jada will not go plat if Jay can’t lets be real. But I like the move to Roc. Hopefully this will at least lead to a push in the airwaves department, since that seems to be the whole reason to go to Def Jam. I wonder how Jays close friend Diddy feels about it. Oh well, if it makes green I doubt Jay cares. As far as the south and dancing goes, alot of the dances from New York back in the day were revolutionary, while the New South is just kind of garbage IN MY OPINION…. now lets not confuse my statement , this in no way applies to MCs’ like UGK, Scarface, Luda, so on and so on, this shot is aimed directly at Soulja Boy (don’t know where he is from, but he needs to return)and that type music. Yeah its great for the 13 year olds, but it really is shining a goofy light on hip-hop, and in the current political and social state, maybe looking like buffoons is not in Hip Hops best interest.

    i hope the shit is hot, but im not getting my hopes up. as much as i like the lox as a group and solo they have never made a classic. they have “canibus syndrome” as i call it. hot as fuck on other peoples shit, but there own albums tend to suck balls. the sad part is kiss is the dopest but his two albums have been the worst. and every body says sheek is the wackest, which i agree, but his 2 albums were hotter than kiss or styles 2 albums. either way he aint going platinum. everybody got excited when jay-z signed nas, then his album kinda came and went. expect the same here for the same reason, kiss is a terrible song writer. he’ll 16 you to death, but thats about it.
