Busta Rhymes, Remy Ma, Lil Wayne and Ja Rule all made appearances at the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse today for separate cases. According to the Associated Press, they all left with new court dates to add to their calendars. Busta appeared for a hearing on his pending assault and drunken driving cases and was asked to return on January 23. He stands accused of assaulting a fan and a former employee in separate incidents, as well as driving drunk and with a suspended license. Lil Wayne and Ja Rule, who were both arrested within hours of each other following a Weezy concert at the Beacon Theater in July, were also asked to return to court. Ja, who was hit with weapons charges after officers found a .40 caliber pistol in his Maybach, is due back at the courthouse on December 5. Wayne, who was also caught with a .40 handgun, was ordered back on February 25. And finally, there was Remy Ma, who has been accused of shooting her friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph in the abdomen back in July. The former Terror Squad member has since had her charges reduced from attempted murder to assault. She was given a new court date of December 5.
