  • http://myspace.com/adrenalinetruth adrenaline the truth

this looks good… should have kept some of that dre from the last album, but nonetheless this should be hot… im a little worried that diddy’s team handles most of the production, guess i will have to hear it before i judge tho.

  • CHI-C

    No Kanye? That’s VERY QUESTIONABLE

    • BK Cyph

well technically if he had a “Kanye Beat” on there it wouldnt really be a “Kanye Beat” it will most likey be a Brian All Day Miller beat or maybe even a Devo beat.

      oops!

      album should be tight regardless.

  • http://www.myspace.com/couptakeover Dezzy

I don’t know y some people think Jay’s album gonna be wack cause Diddy produced most of it. Diddy and his team produced most of Life After Death, Harlem World, No Way Out. Those albums were well produced albums. So, u know that this shit is gonna be hot.

HE NEEDS A BEAT FROM HIM TO MAKE THIS CD BE OVER THE TOP.. BUT STILL JAY MY FAV RAPPER AND THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME AND HE’LL STILL HAVE A GOOD CD SOO FUCK ALL THE HATERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • South Ambassador

Jay! I’m one of your biggest fans, but I question the Lil’ Wayne song. What the fuck is going on? I don’t think it’s a good idea, but with that said, prove me wrong!

  • msijaj

    NO-ID THATS WATS UP.

    MAN-UP SQUAD!

  • Sway-z

Niggas is funny, like Diddy ain’t produce Biggie’s shit? And don’t get it confused, Puff don’t actually make any of the beats he ever produced, he let’s other niggas make the meat of it, then he comes in and sprinkles his extra shit on there. And he’s done it to plenty of Biggie’s songs that were produced by legendary niggas, even RZA & Primo talked about how he touched their shit up for Life After Death in fuckin XXL magazine so I think he knows what he doin…

    • D.Dollar$

      Co-sign my dude…

  • http://myspace.com//hip_hop_lives_here Pedro Cabrera

I honestly think this album will be decent. I don’t think it will be much better than Kingdom Come. I also do not like the Lil Wayne feature. The production better be good. Yes, Kanye should of laced him wit a beat. Overall I don’t know bout this one.

Bring the hate Weezy fans. Seriously he should not be on here.

  • smac

Y’all really believe that Diddy is doing the actual producing on this album? If you do you’re a fool. Diddy doesn’t do shit. See the Sean & LV part next to his name? They are the producers, Diddy always puts his name on any hitmen production. And if you think these guys can’t produce, maybe you should go back and listen to Ghostface’s ‘momma’ from fishscale

  • fligh

i just wanna say that the jay/weezy calabo is a very good look for hip-hop for reginal and general reasons…the best from the south and the king of the east…aww man you gotta love it this is the new era hip-hop at itas best almost like jay passin the torch instead of gettin all bent out of shape by weezy callin himself the best…i tell you one thing this track will prolly settle the debate once and for all so alls i can say is weezy you better kill it!

  • gzup

no dr.dre beat on this one. that’s that shit that he needs right there dre on the beat jay on the mic. he needs that shit

  • TJ

MAN THIS SHIT IS FIRE THIS WILL BE ONE OF HIS BEST ALBUMS EVER LOOK OUT PEOPLE 5 MICS I CAN FEEL THE GOAT IS BACK HATERS

  • Big Diesell

Looks interesting, you can never judge an album until you hear it and get a feeling for how well each songs flows to the next. I hope some good old fashion 90′s hip hop comes from Diddy and Jay. I would have like to see 9th Wonder get a track on there…maybe next time.

  • Jay

    No Dr. Dre????????

  • CULLI

AWW MAN I CANT WAIT TO PICK THIS SHIT UP IN STORES AFTER I C THE MOVIE…MAN I AINT KNO DIDDY WUZ FUCKIN WIT BEATS LYKE THAT LOW KEY I AINT EVEN THINK HE HAD TIME FA IT I WONDER DOES HE DO ALL THE WORK ON EM HIS SELF OR DOES SUM 1 ELSE DO IT AND ADD SHIT…O WELL WHO CARES CANT WAIT TO HEAR THIS SHIT…j-A-Y HOVA

lol@getting one of Wayne’s Carter II weedcarriers to produce “Hello Brooklyn.”

“Best Rapper Alive” was heat though, so maybe it’ll be tight.

Just so ya know, Idris Elba is Stringer Bell from the Wire.

  • Brooklyn

The reason why Kanye didnt do any beats is because hes away on his world tour. In a interview Jay said he reached out to Kanye, Ye sent him a couple of tracks but he wanted him to be there for one of those one on one type beats. The album is going to be good.

to bad the album is wack and boorring ass hell,,…definetly not a classic..kingdom come was a lil better

  • HipHopHead

first off let me say that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you young dudes just don’t get it…

For all of the negative comments here I would like to say this… For the longest time Jay has experimented with different sounds and rhymes styles. He as always said that he could be more complex and intricate with his rhymes and subject matter but that shit don’t sell. He has always complained about having to dumb down his lyrics. That was the point he was making in ingnorant shit. He also referenced that fact on the Black Album.

So for all those dudes who really listen to music and don’t just skim through it, you would know that Jay is at the point in his career when he no longer has anything to prove. He doesnt really have to worry about selling records or catering to radio. True hip-hop heads have been begging Jay to show and prove what he was talking about. The movie American Gangster inspired him to do that.

A song like Blue Magic might seem weak at first listen but if you really break down every line you will understand what I mean. Jay has been making music that pleases both his true fans and the casual listener for years. Now he is going to show what he meant when he said, “Honestly I wanna rhyme like Common Sense; but I did 5 mil–I ain’t been rhymin’ like Common since.”

    CATCH UP NI@@AS!!!!

  • SUN

this nigga never gonna work wit DJ Premier again…

  • Chidis Still Fly

I have no comment about diddy producing if he does (I wasn’t there so I can’t say anything) but “I kno what girls like” sucked ass. I was mad at Jay for that song. I think I turned off the cd thru half of his verse. Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge fan even tho I think he was better before. I want an album better than the blueprint and the black album. I miss that jay-z. And kanye didn’t produce? I’m shocked. I like hearing kanye. And weezie…I guess he accepted he isn’t as great as he thought he was. I’m curious to hear the album. Jay will still get my support so I can’t wait. Holla Hov!

  • 2wack

    its worser than kingdom come

  • DirtDogggy

This is JZs worst shit ever by a land slide, he went out and got all the namebrand producers and then put diddies wack ass shit on there, I use to ride all day every day for jay but get off his dick fools, this is horrible, I’m loyal but not this loyal.

And sure he’s going to make money and sell records, but that doen’t make it good, I might download a track or two for the fuck of it.

And I’m 27 fuck faces so don’t come on here sayin, OH’ the youngins don’t know shit and all that, I herd his first shit over a decade ago and now I’m just hearin shit.

    • D.Dollar$

Nicca you buggin’…Loyal fan huh, you look at production and say the records gonna be wack. Doggie you a fool, then say I might download a track or two. NICCA PLESE

  • Shawty J

No Timbaland, again, seems kinda odd.

  • TRUTH

Just heard a preview of track 4 w/ weezy..yoo..fire..cant wait for tha album..jays killin ‘em

  • Craig P

As much as they hyping this shit up, I can’t believe there are no Timbaland, Dr. Dre, or Kanye beats…

I mean Diddy has done some work, but damn, half the album??

And I’m from the South, but I still believe Jay > Weezy. Let’s remember, everything Weezy put out before The Carter was trash.

  • slobbythegreat

i agree with shawty j, no timbaland…wonder what the fuck is going on…he said he was waiting for a timbaland record…musnt have turned up! the lil wayn song is shit..the snippets i heard most of the album dont sound very good…and i fucking love jay…fallin seems the best track his flow is on point! he needed rza, clark kent, Ayatollah, and fucking premo!

  • T.R.E.Y.

Diddy’s fine when he’s got the right people around him (see: Life After Death, outsourced beats on Press Play) and from the snippets the Bad Boy shit here sounds nice.

plus it gives him a chance to make up for his team’s wack-ass shit on Vol. 1. worst Jay album ever.

  • Rae Tha Great

From what I heard (Snippets) the album sounds like a mix of Blueprint, Reasonable Doubt, and Kingdome Come. Its gonna be dope only real Jigga fan accept shit for what it is and don’t complain shit the nigga money got bigger over the years what you expect him to still talk about slanging on the Marcy benches. But he still remembers those days thats why he came back, again. Peace

  • mick

lmao yeah it tru trying to be gangsta n herb ass diddy producing half ur album and like BOL say when was the last time this dude said anything worth quoting with all those producer who would go platinum then ya wanna hate on cam and jim and dipset they never had producer or promotion n put out banger this shit is more commercial than anything i seen

  • HipHopHead

I’m riding for Jay on this one. Call me a dick rider if u want but I appreciate good music.

Jay didnt work with the producers you niggaz say are missin because their sound didn’t fit the concept of the album… Why does everyone on this site get their panties up in a bunch over a list of producers? Jay has worked with every top producer in the game… He has the right to try something different if he chooses– he aint got shit to lose.

  • Vee

Big letter NAS on dat.. Somebody gon get bodied for the emphieth time.. That’ll b a tight track

  • mcphly

Why are ya’ll concerned about beats? Lyrical content outshines beats any day. This is why hip hop is considered dead.

  • Who Dat ?

Jay needs to pick up the pen and pad and start writting again. You heard him on the Roc Boys? He aint saying shit …blubbering all over that record. WRITE SOME SHIT DAMN IT !!!

  • DTRIP

Most haters on here from the soutn and can’t appreciate someone that raps about anything other than a new dance. People hatin in NY hatin because…well…even Jesus wasn’t wanted by the Jews…

Not too many legit rappers from the south. Nobody raps about anything that makes sense anymore. I’m glad I grew up listening to WU, BIG, Pac, Jay, Scarface, and a few others, nowadays who is it??…Souljah Boy Tellem??…Supersoak THAT hoe.

The album is going to be dope. Better than most the shit out right now. No one is on his level. Not even CLOSE to his level. Weezy had ghostwriters for The Carter and a different one for The Carter II. He doesn’t belong in the same sentence.

    H-O-V-A

Suprised no timbo or ‘ye beat. But hey, it cant be worse than kingdom come (sure, good tracks here and there but overall wasnt his best).

Jigga does great when he comes back. Resonable doubt, blueprint and black album (after blueprint 2 – his worst).

    This shit will comeback.

    Cant wait for nas track.

And what the fucks with lil fucking wayne. Was the worst part about graduation. Shittest verse ever.

Hope he doesnt do the shit here. I really dont know why he is talked up to the extent he is (and yes, i have heard Dedication 2 and i was like “meeh”)

Production credits look great…Diddy and Hitmen bringing back the No Way Out/Life After death sounds.

Those dissing need to wake up! Jay said himself that Diddy set the standard for the production on the album.

CHRIS FLAME ON THE BEAT! THE HOTTEST UP AND COMING PRODUCER FROM ATL, DONT SLEEP ON HIM!

  • Big Rog

I am not a Diddy fan but too many fools are making silly comments. Check the facts. Diddy flew the hitmen to the Carribean and they essentially had a working vacation. The beats that they produced was the meat of Bad Boys most successful albums – Life After Death, No Way Out and Harlem World. All you fools were bumping to that stuff and now he’s reassembled the team and you’re saying he can’t produce???
Dre produced a bunch of tracks on Kingdom Come and I don’t seem to remember people particularly loving that album. I think his most liked record was Trouble which actually sounded more Swizz Beats that Dre.
I second the need for a Timbaland beat but I won’t sweat it.

  • http://www.myspace.com/sayrelfg Mister Sayre

Yo DIDDY did not actually produce shit. LV and Sean C did. They work for DIDDY. They did Celebrate for Ghostface. They also did “Can’t Knock The Hustle”

Step your collective game up kids.

  • http://smackabitch.com AJ

Listening to the album shows me why B.I.G. was the greatest. Jay raping over B.I.G. type beats seem flacid and weak. The Puff/Hitmen tracks are too much for his voice. Jay can’t handle tracks like that.

  • Darven

First of all I want to let everyone that I am a big Jay-Z fan. I have bought every single one of his albums. But to be honest the album is not that hot. In my opinion his last great album was the Blueprint. Since then all his other albums have been medicore. I think he rushed this album and it has some medicore producers on there. When is the last time Diddy or Neptunes has produced a real hit. I bought this album even though I wasn’t really feeling Blue Magic or The Roc Boys single. I thought maybe this album might be better. The best album to me in my opinion is that Kayne West. He had 3 hot singles and videos before his album even come out. For the week of 11/17 on the top 100 Billboard, Kayne has 4 single in the the top 100. Good Life #3, Can’t Tell me nothing #34, Flashing Lights #62, and Stronger #63. Jay-Z has only 2 with Roc Boys #20, and Blue Magic #70. Even his first week album sales sold more that Jay-Z. Kayne album come out before Jay-Z and his older single are still ahead of Jay-Z. Jay-Z is still the man, he has made many hit records and sold millions. I just think that he is out of touch with his fan base and should of spent a little more time on this album. But right now Jay-Z is not what’s hot, I think he has lost it. I think he cares more about collecting a check than making good music. Plus this album is like a wanna be Reasonable Doubt but there can only be one. I thought you are suppose to mature with you music not go backwards. I’m not hating on Jay-Z, I think he is one of the Greatest rappers of all-time but I do think he is out of touch right now.

  • Mj336

listen people… 1st thing… its not about east coast or south… cause it’s some dope HIP HOP artist from all conrners of the world. 2nd, until you drop some shit people consider a classic and that some dude buys and plays it through his fucked up life and is saved from it (hip hop music, ART) then don’t feel like you got an opinion on what Jay Z does or what any of these others producers are doing. 3rd as far as Diddy producing most of the AG album, apparently Diddy knows what he’s doing; he’s still here right ladies… most of ya’ll don’t know what good music is anyway…
