Prodigy Pleads Guilty to Weapons Charge, Looking at 3 ½ Years in Prison
Prodigy of Mobb Deep has reportedly changed his story and pleaded guilty to a charge of weapons possession. According to the New York Daily News, P—who began his trial on the charges last week—interrupted the proceedings and admitted to owning the weapon he was busted with last October. As part of a plea deal offered by prosecutors, the rapper will reportedly receive a prison sentence of 3 ½ years. The Queensbridge native was pulled over in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood last October after making an illegal u-turn. When cops searched the bulletproof Chevy Suburban that he and producer The Alchemist were traveling in, they found the illegal .22 caliber pistol stashed in the center console.
