In case y’all forgot Reasonable Doubt wasn’t labelled as a classic by the majority (real hip-hop heads knew right away) until years after its release, and I think the same is gonna happen with American Gangster. Whenever Jay gets in a zone on an album and the album has a common thread all the way thru the album is undeniably classic (ie. Reasonable Doubt, Hard Knock Life, Blueprint).
