Pharrell recently revealed to MTV News that a new N.E.R.D. LP is on schedule for a release in early 2008. N.E.R.D., which consists of Pharrell, longtime production partner Chad Hugo and Shay Haley, last dropped a group project in 2004 with Fly or Die. According to Skateboard P, he feels that last project was too consistent and he is striving for a much more inconsistent feel on the new album, titled N*R*3*D. "I just was waiting for the right sounds," he told MTV News. "Creating [music] at the keyboard is like going fishing. You fish for it every day. And you either get it or you don't get it. It works several different ways: sometimes I sit down and just make something and it's appropriate for it, sometimes I do that and it's not appropriate. And sometimes I have to wait. What I usually do with the N.E.R.D. albums is we wait a lot." While the renowned beatsmith was reluctant to reveal many details about the N*R*3*Dproject, he did say that it is mostly finished.
