ludacris-piaget.jpgSince the success of his 2006 hit, “Runaway Love,” Atlanta rapper Ludacris has championed the cause of runaway children in America. Looking to raise more awareness, Luda is collaborating with the National Runaway Switchboard (NRS) and Swiss watchmaker, Piaget, to raise money for homeless and runaway youth. This November, which is National Runaway Prevention Month, Piaget will introduce the Ludacris Fingerprint timepiece watch, which will be auctioned online at the NRS website, www.1800runaway.org. All the proceeds from the watch, which is valued at $28,200, will go towards the NRS. In addition, Piaget will donate 10 percent of every Fingerprint watch sold between now and the end of the year to the NRS. “We applaud Piaget for its financial support and donation of this unique timepiece,” says Maureen Blaha, executive director of NRS. “This is another example of how socially-conscious corporations are helping to keep America’s runaway and at-risk youth safe and off the streets.”
