Lil Wayne refused to take the stage at East Hanover High School in Wilmington, NC this past Sunday because of low ticket sales, and he may now face a lawsuit over the snub. According to WECT 6, Weezy sat on his tour bus for over three hours waiting for the venue to fill up, but ultimately pulled the plug on the performance when his requirement for an audience of at least 2,000 was not met. Now, Mitchell Entertainment, who promoted the event, plans to sue Wayne over the fiasco. "Between the time my client contracted with him, and the time he had the concert he had these other legal problems, and it affected him negatively with ticket sales here in Wilmington," said Duke Linberry, an attorney representing Mitchell Entertainment. Linberry also cites the initial controversy over the concert and the fact that it was canceled and then rescheduled, as reasons for low ticket sales. The attorney assured WECT 6 that all concertgoers will receive refunds for the tickets they purchased.
