According to WXIA-TV in Atlanta, local police believe rapper JT Money and two other men were involved in a shootout at Club Opera in Midtown Atlanta last night (October 11). Radio station Hot 107.9 held a concert at Club Opera last night when a fight allegedly broke out and shots were fired. 29-year-old Carl Edwards Green was shot in the stomach during the melee, which resulted in hundreds of fans storming towards the exit. One woman was allegedly trampled and suffered a broken arm. In the aftermath, police believe three suspects, including JT Money, allegedly left the club in a black Hummer. JT Money, born Jeffrey Thompkins, gained notoriety for his 1999 hit, “Who Dat,” off his debut solo album, Pimpin’ on Wax. JT is also the founder of the Southern hip-hop group, Poison Clan.
