Jay-Z Shoots VH1 Storytellers Performance, Album Leaks To ’Net

According to an AP report, Jay-Z returned to Brooklyn on Wednesday night (Oct. 24) to shoot a performance of new material from his American Gangster album for an episode of VH1′s Storytellers. With a full band, who he dubbed “The Roc Boys,” Hov performed numerous songs from the new album, including “Pray,” “Blue Magic,” “Dreamin’” and “Party Life.” As with all Storytellers performances, Jay prefaced each song by telling the story behind it to the audience, which included Beyoncé. VH1 Storytellers: Jay-Z: Life of an American Gangster debuts November 8th on VH1

In related news, a full web-rip version of American Gangster leaked to the internet late last night. The retail album is not due in stores until November 6th.

    any real fan of hip hop will cop a jay-z album no matter what….but if it’s available online, why not listen….the direction and the content are incredible….it feels like blueprint….the corporate thuggin on Kingdom Come had an audience but this new music is much more universal…see the music industry should take notice…how many people above said they’d cop the real album even after they dl the leaked version…if you put out good music, you can still move major units….the new XXL Jay-z article is fire….the EW and Jay-z interviews are always legendary….we need them more often….I do have to fact check Jay-z in ther article…he said he only released two videos for Kingdom Come and then he shut the album down…actually he released 3 videos (Show Me What You Got, Minority Report and Lost Ones)….sorry I couldn’t help myself….
