Twisted Black’s Bodyguard Sentenced to 19 Years for Crack Sales
Leroy LaShawn “Big” Shelton, a former bodyguard for incarcerated MC, Tommy “Twisted Black” Burns, was sentenced to 19 years in prison on charges he distributed crack cocaine in the Fort Worth, TX area. According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, District Judge Robert Junell ruled that Shelton also obstructed justice when he fled to Flint, Michigan following the July 2006 arrest of Twisted Black. Burns and Shelton were accused of distributing more than 1,000 grams of crack between 2001 and 2005. “Someone assisting in the movement of that much crack cocaine to Midland needs to be taken off the streets,” said Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeff Parras. Twisted Black was sentenced to 30 years in prison after losing a jury trial last November.
