seanp-heat.jpgAtlanta’s Sean P, formerly of The Youngbloodz, is looking to help out his fellow citizens with their heating and energy bills this winter. The rapper has made a $5,000 donation to H.E.A.T. (Heating Energy Assistance Team), a non-profit organization that helps low income families, disabled persons and senior citizens in Georgia with their energy bills. "I could hardly believe that people in my own community had to make decisions about whether to buy food and medicine or pay their energy bills," Sean P. said in a statement. Additionally, Sean P will be teaming with H.E.A.T. for a campaign to encourage other entertainers from the state to join in the cause. In 2005, H.E.A.T. disbursed $1 million in energy assistance to nearly 4,600 households in Georgia. For more information on H.E.A.T., go to http://www.heatga.org/.
