dj-screw.jpgThe late great Robert “DJ Screw” Davis will be honored this weekend on Sunday, September 30 at the DJ Screwfest Concert and Car Show. The event, which takes place at the Reliant Arena in Houston, pays homage to the life and legacy of Screw, the pioneering DJ who created the signature chopped and screwed sound. Artists such as Pimp C of UGK, Slim Thug and The Original S.U.C. (Screwed Up Clik) will attend the event with over 15,000 fans who will be treated to a unique car show featuring over 200 cars, graffiti writers, bikini contests, DJ battles and turntable exhibitions sponsored by the Bumsquad DJ’z. “DJ Screw was the quintessential DJ,” says Bumsquad DJ’z founder, Latin Prince. “He represented DJs to the fullest and he believed in and supported his Houston artists and music as a whole. We are honored that his father accepted on his behalf to induct him as an honorary member of the Bumsquad DJ’z because he encompassed everything we’re about.”
