busta-1.jpgOn Wednesday (September 5) a New York City judge postponed Busta Rhymes trial on two assault charges and two driving infractions until November 7. According to the Associated Press, the postponement came after both the prosecutor and defense attorney said they were not ready to proceed. The trial had been adjourned until today after Busta turned down a plea deal offered by prosecutors in July that would have landed him in jail for one year on all four charges. The rapper stands accused of attacking a former employee during an argument and assaulting a fan following a concert. Last month, that same fan filed a lawsuit against the Busta for the alleged assault. Busta Bust also faces charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.
