Bun B, Lil Boosie and Mike Jones Head to Washington, D.C. for Hip-Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment this Weekend

UGK’s Bun B, Lil Boosie and Mike Jones will head to Washington, D.C. on Saturday, September 29 for the Hip-Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment. The event will be held at the Washington Convention Center from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and will feature thousands of young people who will participate in Russell Simmons’ Hip-Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN) “Get Your Money Right” financial literacy international tour. The summit is an effort to engage young people in discussions about the importance of personal finance, including the basics of banking, repairing and understanding credit scores, asset and wealth management, vehicle financing and home ownership. “We are taking back responsibility in this unique, but effective manner in encouraging youth to take the correct path toward financial success,” says Russell Simmons. “Getting your money right helps to get your life right. Our Hip-Hop Summits are all about empowerment.”
