common.jpgVeteran MC Common will take the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart this week with his latest LP, Finding Forever. The Chi-town native’s latest project, powered by the singles “The People” and “The Game,” moved 155,000 copies in its first week in stores, outselling rock band Korn by almost 30,000 copies for the top spot. Also landing in the Top 10 this week is Sean Kingston, with his self-titled debut. The Jamaican youngster, who has ruled summer radio with his reggae infused banger “Beautiful Girl,” will take the No. 6 slot after consumers picked up just under 75,000 copies of the LP.

Elsewhere on the charts we see Def Squad crew member and solo veteran Keith Murray landing at No. 52 with his latest, Rap-Murr-Phobia, which scanned about 13,300 copies in its first week. The project, which was released through Koch Records, spawned the Tyrese Gibson assisted single “Nobody Do It Better.” Next up we see Memphis, TN native Kia Shine making his career debut on the Billboard charts. Despite the respectable buzz surrounding his smash single “Krispy,” Kia only managed to scan about 9,500 copies of his project Due Season, to land at No. 84.
