99.9% of rappers today love to profess a love for God but the fail to live up the demands of christian living. The hypocritical state of Hip Hop is many times in direct contradiciton to the principles of bible teachings. I hate when people try to paint somebody as a saint just because they are no longer with us. Yes we all fall short of the glory of God because we all sin. I am no better or worse than Pac in God’s eyes for I have sinned as he did. I find it hard to believe that God was too close to Pac when he wrote the Bulk of his Music. The Idea of a Conference of “Christians” entertaining such an idea sounds almost blasphemous. If 2pac wrote the majority of his music about leading a responsible and respectable lifestyle I would understand but he didn’t or should I say he chose not to. He chose a course of life contrary to God. I believe he was troubled as many of us are in choosing between right and wrong but I don’t feel he deserves any kind of praise or attention from any christian organization. Maybe this will detail his pitfalls and spiritual struggles between his faith and his muci but I just doubt that will be the vein of the lecture. I just can’t see the benefit any christian attending this event will attain from the lecture. 2pac’s mantra was THUGLIFE not GODSLIFE. To tell the truth many other rappers talk about praising God and make 1 out 15 songs on their albums about their love for God but make 14 out of 15 songs on their albums about Drugs, Sex, Crime, Murder, The worship of money and every other unholy thing imaginable. Before any Hip Hop or any musicians (Rock, Jazz & Etc) period, talks about thanking and loving God they need to check their on own lifestyles before talking about loving God.
