Rick Ross Gives Back, Holds First Annual Rick Ross Be Out Day

Rick Ross is teaming up with the Magic Johnson Burger King Restaurant chain to help make the back to school season a little bit easier for students in his hometown of Miami. On August 8, the Def Jam MC is holding the first annual “Rick Ross Be Out Day,” during which students will receive free school supplies such as backpacks, pencils and pens. The day will also include giveaways from the events sponsors which include Slip N' Slide Records and Miami’s WEDR 99 Jamz radio station. WEDR on air personality DJ Khaled is scheduled to host the event, and surprise celebrity guests are expected to attend. "This day is for the kids,” Rick Ross said in a statement. “I want to give back to my city, it's all about the kids, they need to know that if they stay in school, work hard and stay focused, they can be anything they want to be, and they will succeed.”
