Remy Ma Denies Shooting; Victim Says, “I Couldn’t Believe She Shot Me!”

remy13.jpgAfter pleading not guilty to attempted murder, first-degree assault and weapon charges, Remy Ma was released from Rikers Island on Sunday, July 15 after her manager, Big Joe of New Era Management, allegedly used his home as collateral on the $250,000 bond. Remy isn’t due back in court until August 15, but the New York Daily News reported that the Bronx MC was yelling to reporters from her Cliffside Park, NJ home, “I didn’t shoot my friend. I didn’t shoot nobody.” The victim of the alleged shooting, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, is telling a different story, though. “I couldn’t believe she shot me,” Barnes-Joseph told the Daily News. “What hurts me is that when she shot me she went over and dumped the bag. She didn’t even say, “Oh, my God, I just shot her.’ That’s what hurt me so much.” The alleged shooting took place at the Pizza Bar in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District on Saturday morning. Remy Ma and Barnes-Joseph allegedly got into an argument over missing money from Remy’s purse. Even though the former Terror Squad rapper has denied her involvement in the incident, Barnes-Joseph’s mother, Christina Barnes, tells the Daily News she doesn’t believe Remy is innocent. “She shot my child and she knows that,” she said. “When the day comes, we’ll all find out for sure.”
