McDonald’s Enlists Twista For Chicago Concert
Billboard.biz has reported that fast food giant McDonald’s will host a free 10-city tour this summer featuring artists from various genres of music. Representing hip-hop will be Twista, who will perform during the Chicago leg of the tour. “This is the first time we’ve put together a McDonald’s tour,” Douglas Freeland, director of U.S. marketing at McDonald’s tells Billboard.biz. “We’re always looking for ways to strengthen brand relevance with young adults, and we know from work we’ve done in the past that music is their number one passion.” But unlike most concerts, this summer’s McDonald’s tour will take place in various McDonald’s parking lots. Between 500 and 1,500 fans will be allowed to enter each show on a first come, first serve basis. In addition, video footage of each concert will be posted on www.mcdlive.com. McDonald’s has not released a date for Twista’s performance in Chicago yet.
